COMMENTS: Costa Rican bamboo palm is one of the strongest growers in this group of chamaedoreas. The species produces many stems in dense clusters which may eventually achieve a basal spread of 6 feet or more. It most closely resembles C. seifrizii but is larger and more vigorous than that species.
