COMMENTS: This Cuban relative of the Carnauba wax palm is highly regarded for the imposing girth of its trunk, topped by a dense crown of beautiful, rigid leaves. It requires ample room, is slow to establish, but is arguably one of the most magnificent fan palms in the world. The Copernicia palms as a group consist of about two dozen species, the majority of which are native to Cuba.
